Block 1  Spanish 3-4 Honors:
-Students  completed the warm up.
-Students participated in a class discussion about Sandra Cisneros and took notes on her accomplishments.
-Students quizzed a partner over the famous people we have studied so far.
-Students received graded papers.
-Students had time to finish their Diamante poems.
-Students had some time to work on their Web Quests.
-Some students worked on their dialogs for 1.2 and presented those.



Homework:
-Alberto Gonzales biography due by 7:30 am, Friday, February 20, 2015.  This must be submitted via Google Classroom.  Remember to explain why Mr. Gonzales's work is important to you and/or how it changed the world.  You can always look at the sample paragraph on the blog.
-Copy the vocabulary for Unit 2 Lesson 1.  Remember that this can be done on paper or as flashcards on your phone. 
-3rd timed verb post test this Friday over regular and irregular verbs in the preterite.
-3rd binder check on Thursday, February 26, 2015
-Unit 2 Lesson 1 Quiz on Thursday, February 26, 2015.




Block 2  Spanish 1-2:
-Students completed the warm up.
-Students participated in a class discussion about Celia Cruz and took notes on her accomplishments.
-Students quizzed a partner over the famous people that we have studied so far.
-Students listened to the introduction to the new vocabulary.
-Students repeated the new vocabulary after the teacher.
-Students took turns reading the introduction to the vocabulary popcorn style.
-Students worked with their table groups to translate a portion of the introduction to the vocabulary.

 
Homework:
-Anthony Quinn biography due by 7:30 am, Friday, February 20, 2015.  This must be submitted via Google Classroom.  Remember to explain why Mr. Quinn's work is important to you and/or how it changed the world.  You can always look at the sample paragraph on the blog. 
-Copy the 2.1 vocabulary list.  Remember that this can be done on paper or as flashcards on your phone.
-Make a bingo card using the new vocabulary and the blank grid I gave you today in class.  The front of the card should have 1 Spanish word per box.  The back of the card should have 15 English translations and 10 pictures in the corresponding boxes.  





Block 5  Spanish 3-4:
-Students  completed the warm up.
-Students participated in a class discussion about Sandra Cisneros and took notes on her accomplishments.
-Students quizzed a partner on the famous people that we have studied so far.  
-Students played verb Tic Tac Toe with a partner to practice the following verbs in the preterite: regular AR, CAR/GAR/ZAR and irregulars.
-Students took notes on indirect object pronouns in Spanish.  


Homework:

-2.1 lesson quiz this Thursday (2/19).  Quiz topics: lesson vocabulary, regular AR verbs in the preterite, irregular verbs in the preterite and indirect object pronouns.  
-3rd timed verb post test this Friday over regular AR and irregular verbs in the preterite.
-3rd binder check on Thursday, February 26.
