Blocks 1 & 4  Spanish 3-4:
-Students  completed the warm up.
-Students repeated the 2.2 vocabulary.
-Students participated in a class discussion about Roberto Clemente and took notes on his accomplishments.
-Students were told what will be on the 2.2 quiz.
-Students had time to work on their reflexive (daily routine) projects.
-Students in block 4 completed the present progressive partner handout and finished their verb bats.

Homework:
-Maria Hinojosa biography due by 7:30 am, Friday, October 30, 2015.  This must be submitted via Google Classroom.  Remember to explain why Ms. Hinojosa's work is important to you and/or how it changed the world.  You can always look at the sample paragraph on the blog.
-Workbook pages 87 and 88 are due tomorrow.
-Go to www.classzone.com and take the 2.2 self check quiz.  Copy and paste your score into an email and send it to me in pvlearners.  This is due by 7:30 am tomorrow for block 4 and by 7:30 am on Wednesday for block 1.
-2.2 lesson quiz tomorrow for block 4 and Wednesday for block 1.  Quiz topics: lesson vocabulary, reflexive verbs and the present progressive tense.

-Students in block 1 repeated the 2.2 vocabulary.
-Students in block 1 listened to the introduction to the vocabulary for 2.2 and then, students took turns reading the introduction aloud.
-Students in block 1 participated in a class discussion about Antonia Novello and took notes on her accomplishments.
-Students in block 1 completed any remaining work from last week
-Students in block 4 took the midterm exam for the course.

Homework:
-Roberto Clemente biography due by 7:30 am, Friday, October 23, 2015.  This must be submitted via Google Classroom.  Remember to explain why Mr. Clementes work is important to you and/or how it changed the world.  You can always look at the sample paragraph on the blog.
-No new written assignment.







Block 2  Spanish 3-4 Honors:
-Students completed the warm up on a new paper.
-Students recited the 2.2 vocabulary.
-Students listened to the 2.2 introduction to the new vocabulary. Then, students took turns reading the introduction aloud.
-Students participated in a class discussion about Antonia Novello and took notes on her accomplishments.

Tomorrow is a 1/2 day early release day for students.



Blocks 1 & 4  Spanish 3-4:
-Students  completed the warm up on a new sheet.
-Students repeated the 2.1 vocabulary.
-Students received graded papers.
-Students participated in a class discussion about Gloria Estefan and took notes on her accomplishments.
-Students took notes on demonstrative adjectives and demonstrative pronouns and completed a practice activity using the demonstrative adjectives.

Homework:
-José Martí biography due by 7:30 am, Friday, October 9, 2015.  This must be submitted via Google Classroom.  Remember to explain why Mr. Martí's work is important to you and/or how it changed the world.  You can always look at the sample paragraph on the blog.
-Workbook pages 56 and 57
-Find a current event article relating to the Spanish speaking world and tweet it @bienvenidospvhs or email it to me in pvlearners if you don't use Twitter. This assignment is due by 7:30 am on Friday, October 9th.
-Unit 2 Lesson 1 Quiz on Wednesday, October 7, 2015.  Quiz topics: lesson vocabulary, regular ER and IR verbs in the preterite and demonstrative adjectives.

Blocks 1 & 4  Spanish 3-4:
-Students  completed the warm up and turned in their papers for the last two weeks.
-Students repeated the 2.1 vocabulary.
-Students corrected the homework from last night.
-Students in block 1 took the 4th timed verb post test over regular AR and irregular verbs in the preterite.
-Students in block 1 practiced the 2.1 vocabulary with a partner.
-Students in block 1 practiced regular ER and IR verbs in the preterite. 
-Students in block 4 finished adding verbs to their ER and IR lists in their notebooks and then, they worked with their table groups to translate the verbs.
-Students in block 4 practiced changing adjectives into adverbs.
-Students in block 4 played Ataque using regular AR/ER/IR verbs and the 5 irregular verbs we have learned. 



Homework:
-No new written assignment








Block 2  Spanish 3-4 Honors:
-Students completed the warm up and turned in their papers from the last two weeks.
-Students corrected the homework from last night.
-Students recited the 2.1 vocabulary.

-Students corrected the homework from last night.
-Students in block 1 completed a handout to practice changing adjectives into adverbs.
-Students in block 1 practiced the 2.1 vocabulary.
-Students in block 1 finished working on the second article in the Qué Tal magazine.
-Students in block 4 finished adding verbs to their AR lists in their notebooks and then, they worked with their table groups to translate the verbs.
-Students in block 4 took notes on regular ER/IR verbs in the preterite.
-Students in block 4 took notes on how to change adjectives into adverbs.
-Students read an article in Qué Tal magazine and completed the comprehension activities for the article. 



Homework:
-Gloria Estefan biography due by 7:30 am, Friday, October 2, 2015.  This must be submitted via Google Classroom.  Remember to explain why Ms. Estefan's work is important to you and/or how it changed the world.  You can always look at the sample paragraph on the blog.
