Block 1  Spanish 3-4 Honors:
-Students completed the warm up.
-Students recited the 3.1 vocabulary.
-Students corrected workbook pages.
-Students found a current event article related to Cuba and shared that link with me.
-Students played Simon Says to practice the body parts vocabulary.
-Students took the body parts vocabulary quiz.
-Students took notes on verbs like gustar.


Homework:
-Maria Hinojosa biography due by 7:30 am, April 1st, 2016.  This must be submitted via Google Classroom.  Remember to explain why Ms. Hinojosa's work is important to you and/or how it changed the world.  You can always look at the sample paragraph on the blog.
-Complete workbook pages 106.
-Finish the front of the handout to practice verbs like gustar.
-Unit 3 Lesson 1 Quiz - Thursday, March 31st. Quiz topics: lesson vocabulary, verbs with irregular yo forms in the present tense, verbs like gustar and pronouns after prepositions. 
-6th  Timed Verb Post Test over verbs with irregular yo forms in the present tense will be on Friday, April 1st.







Blocks 2 & 4  Spanish 1-2:
-Students completed the warm up.
-Students recited the 3.1 vocabulary.
-Students found a current event article related to Cuba and shared the link with me.
-Students completed a handout using the verb gustar with nows. When they finished the handout, they glued it into their ISNs.
-Students created a gustar mini poster in their ISNs on page 40. They had to have 8 sentences - 4 for things they like and 4 for things they don't like.  They had to have a total of 2 singular sentences and 2 plural sentences in each section.

Today classes were approximately 40 minutes long because of the late start for AIMS science testing.


Block 1  Spanish 3-4 Honors:
-Students completed the warm up.
-Students recited the 3.1 vocabulary.
-Students traded their monster drawings and wrote sentences in Spanish to describe the other student's drawing.
-Students played Simon Says in Spanish to practice the body parts vocabulary.
-Students were told that the body parts quiz will be tomorrow instead of today.

Block 1  Spanish 3-4 Honors:
-Students completed the warm up.
-Students recited the 3.1 vocabulary.
-Students participated in a class discussion about Roberto Clemente and took notes on his accomplishments.
-Students were told what will be on the Unit 3 Lesson 1 Quiz this Wednesday.
-Students received the "monster line up" handout. Students are to finish drawing their monsters so that they can trade them in class tomorrow and another student will write about their drawings.
-Students learned about using pronouns after prepositions.

Block 1  Spanish 3-4 Honors:
-Students completed the warm up.
-Students took the timed verb pretest over reflexive verbs in the present tense and in the preterit tense.
-Students had time to work on their dialogs about a trip to a sporting event.
-Students recited the 2.2 vocabulary.
-Students took make up quizzes.
-Students worked on a crossword puzzle using gerunds in Spanish and then, glued that into their ISNs.
-Students worked in their workbooks.


Homework:
-No new written assignment.

-Students recited the 2.2 lesson vocabulary. 
-Students took the first timed verb pretest over regular AR verbs in the present tense.
-Students took make up quizzes.

Block 1  Spanish 3-4 Honors:
-Students completed the warm up.
-Students recited the 2.2 vocabulary.
-Students corrected the workbook pages from last night.
-Students played vocabulary scrabble using the current vocabulary list. They had to work with their teams to create a story using sentences that contained the words that were played on the board.
-Students took notes on the present progressive.


Homework:
-José Martí biography due by 7:30 am, March 4, 2016.  This must be submitted via Google Classroom.  Remember to explain why Mr. Marti's work is important to you and/or how it changed the world.  You can always look at the sample paragraph on the blog.
-Complete workbook pages 79 and 80.
-5th  Timed Verb Post Test over reflexive verbs in the present and in the preterit will be on Friday, March 4th.

Block 1  Spanish 3-4 Honors:

-Students had time to work on their dialogs about a trip to a sporting event.
-Students received graded papers.
-Students recited the Unit 2 Lesson 2 Vocabulary. 
-Students updated the table of contents in their ISNs.
-Students took notes on conjugating reflexive verbs in the preterit tense.
-Students finished any remaining work that was not completed on Monday.

Today was a 1/2 day for students.
