Block 1  Spanish 3-4 Honors:
-Students  completed the warm up activity.
-Students listened to the introduction to the new vocabulary.
-Students took turns reading the introduction to the new vocabulary aloud.
-Students worked in groups to make sure they understood everything that was written in the introduction to the new vocabulary.  Then, individual students were called on to share that information.
-Students started their bingo cards for 4.1.  The front of the card should have 25 Spanish words and the back of the card should have 10 pictures and 15 English translations.
-Students started a concentration/memory game using the cards they created yesterday.

-Students participated in a class discussion about Maria Hinojosa and took notes on her accomplishments.

-Students read about the use of masks as part of the Day of the Dead celebrations. 
-Students created a mask of their own.
-Students created a skeleton using a cursive copy of their own names to form the main part of the skeleton.  Students added accessories to their skeletons.
-Students read a second handout with information about the Day of the Dead.
-Students completed the "L" column on their KWL charts based on their reading.
-Students turned in their October homework calendars.
