-Students created their own word searches using 20 words from the new vocabulary list.  The words had to be hidden in the puzzle in Spanish and the English translations had to be written at the bottom of the paper.    
-Students responded to a writing prompt that asked them to discuss what they had to do to plan for a trip.

-Announcements were made about final exam dates.  Thursday, December 12th will be the written final exam day.  Friday, December 13th will be the day we start speaking finals.  Speaking finals will be continued on Monday, December 16th - if necessary.  Friday, December 13th will also be the day for the test over the famous Hispanic people that we have been studying this semester.  Wednesday, December 18th and Thursday, December 19th will be half days for exams.  Those are the days that students will take the multiple choice part of the exam. 
-Students received graded papers.
-Students participated in a class discussion about Jerry Garcia and took notes on his accomplishments.  
-Students quizzed a partner over the famous people we have studied so far. 
-Students repeated the list of new vocabulary words.

-Warm Up
-Students checked their answers to last night's homework.
-Students quizzed a partner on the vocabulary for this lesson and the verbs with irregular yo forms in the present tense.
-Students completed a practice activity to review the verbs like gustar.  
-Students took the Unit 3 Lesson 1 quiz. 
-Students took notes on 5 irregular verbs in the preterite tense: estar, poder, poner, saber and tener.

-Students listened to the vocabulary presentation in the book.
-Students completed a listening comprehension activity.
-Students practiced their pronunciation of the vocabulary from this lesson by repeating the words after me. 
-Students participated in a popcorn reading activity to read the vocabulary presentation in the book.
-Students were told what will be on the Unit 3 Lesson 1 Quiz on Thursday.
