Welcome Back!  What a great first day.  Listed below you will find a summary of what we did in class today.  Spanish 1-2 is listed in white and Spanish 3-4 is listed in black.


Block 1  Spanish 1-2:
-Students completed a student information sheet after being shown the seating chart.
-Students completed a Find Someone Who activity to get to know one another.
-I introduced myself and explained a couple of basic classroom procedures.  We will go over the complete syllabus on Friday of this week.
-Students were introduced to the Spanish alphabet and had a chance to recite it.
-Students participated in their first conversation in Spanish.  They learned how to greet one another, exchange names, state how they are feeling and state where they are from.
-Students participated in an Inside-Outside Circle activity so that they could practice their conversations with multiple partners.
-Students completed an Interest Inventory.

Homework:
*None
*Students will be greeted at the door on Tuesday with one of the questions from today's lesson.


Blocks 2 and 4  Spanish 3-4:
-Students completed a student information sheet after being shown the seating chart.
-Students completed a Find Someone Who activity to get to know one another.
-A few basic classroom procedures were discussed.  We will go over the complete syllabus on Friday of this week. 
-I introduced myself to the students in Spanish and they had to take notes about what they understood.
-Students introduced themselves to me in writing in Spanish.
-Students participated in a round table review activity to see how much vocabulary they could recall.
-Students completed an Interest Inventory.
-Students received their August Homework Calendars - These are very important.

 Homework:
*Students are supposed to write  a minimum 5 sentence paragraph in Spanish describing at least one member of their families.
