Urgent:  Don't forget attendance contracts, student handbook contracts and emergency cards are due tomorrow.

***Fridays are spirit days.  Show your PV Pride and wear red, black and white.***


Block 1  Spanish 1-2:
-Warm Up
-Students turned in the signature page for the syllabus.
-Students turned in their vocabulary lists and their bingo cards.  These were stamped and returned. 

-Students practiced the alphabet.
-Students played bingo using the preliminary lesson vocabulary.
-Students practiced their dialogs and some students presented theirs to the teacher.
-Students finished repeating the new vocabulary.
-Students took a reverse spelling test to practice for next week's quiz.


Homework:
-Syllabus signature page
-Carlos Santana biography email due by 7:30 am Friday, August, 17, 2012
-Preliminary Lesson Quiz - Tuesday, August 21, 2012



Blocks 2 and 4  Spanish 3-4:
-Warm Up
-Students turned in the signature page for the syllabus.
-Block 2 students turned in their attendance and handbook contracts.
-Block 2 students turned in their emergency cards.  These are due by Friday at the latest.
-Students turned in their vocabulary lists and their bingo cards.  These were stamped and returned.  
-Students reviewed the definite and indefinite articles and adjective agreement.  Students also completed an informal assessment on these topics.  
-Students finished repeating the preliminary lesson vocabulary.
-Students played bingo using the preliminary lesson bingo.  

-Students practiced their dialogs and some students presented theirs to the teacher.  
-Students took notes on ir and estar.  Block 2 also took notes on hacer 

Homework:
-Syllabus signature page
-Block 2 - Write 10 sentences using the following verbs ser, ir, estar, tener and hacer.  Use each verb for 2 sentences.  Use different subjects for each sentence.  Each sentence must be at least 5 words long.
-Block 4 - Write 8 sentences using the following verbs ser, ir, estar and tener.  Use each verb for 2 sentences.  Use different subjects for each sentence.  Each sentence must be at least 5 words long.

-Preliminary Lesson Quiz - Tuesday, August 21, 2012
