-Students completed a timed writing exercise about a family reunion.
-Students played vocabulary scrabble. They had to use each word that they put on the scrabble board in a sentence on a separate sheet of paper. All of the sentences from each member of the group should go together to create a story.

Blocks 1, 4 and 5  Spanish 1-2:
-Students completed the warm up.
-Students recited the lesson 1 vocabulary and the numbers 0 - 30.
-Students were told what will be on the lesson 1 test on Thursday.
-Students took notes on the subject pronouns in Spanish.
-Students finished the noun categorizing activity from last week if they had not already done so.
-Students created flashcards for each of the subject pronouns in Spanish.


Homework:
-Isabel Allende's biography is due by the beginning of class on Friday, August 30,  2019.  The directions for this assignment are in the Google Classroom. The assignment needs to be completed in the notebook.
-Lesson 1 Test on Thursday, August 29th. Test topics: lesson vocabulary, numbers 0 - 30, definite and indefinite articles, subject pronouns, the verb ser and telling time.





Block 2 Spanish 3-4H:
-Students completed the warm up.
-Students discussed how to tell if a noun is masculine or feminine when it doesn't end in "o" or "a".
-Students took the preliminary lesson test.


Homework:
-Dolores Huerta's  biography is due at the beginning of class on Friday, August 30, 2019. The directions for this assignment are in the Google Classroom. The assignment needs to be completed in the notebook.

Welcome Back!

¡Bienvenidos a la clase de español! You will only need a few supplies for this class. Please have the following items with you in class by Friday, August 9th. You will need: 1 - one subject spiral bound notebook (you’ll want to get the ones that are 25 cents and have a paper cover.), 3-5 glue sticks, & a package of colored pencils. We’ll be using the colored pencils a LOT, I recommend Crayola. They seem to last the longest and color the best. I am looking forward to a terrific semester.

Today was a 1/2 day for students.


Blocks 1 and 3 Spanish 3-4:

-Students took notes on more irregular verbs in the preterite: haber, dar and ver.
-Students had time to finish Tic Tac Toe from yesterday.
-Students had time to work on the famous person assignment for this week.


Homework:
-Maria Hinojosa's biography is due by 7:30 am on Friday, April 5,  2019.  This must be submitted via Google Classroom.  Remember to answer all of the questions on the document.
-No new written assignment.




Block 5 Spanish 3-4H:
-Students completed the warm up.
-Students recited the lesson 3 vocabulary.
