Blocks 1 & 2  Spanish 1-2:
-Students completed the warm up.
-Students took notes on direct object pronouns.
-Students copied the new vocabulary for Unit 4 Lesson 2.
-Students made a bingo card using the vocabulary from Unit 4 Lesson 2.  The front of the card had 25 Spanish words.  The back of the card had 13 pictures and 12 English translations.

-Study for the timed verb post test over e -> ie stem changing verbs on Thursday, May 1, 2014.





Block 4  Spanish 3-4 Honors:
-Students completed the warm up.
-Students took notes on regular and irregular verbs (ser, ir and ver) in the imperfect. 
-Students copied the new vocabulary from Unit 4 Lesson 1.
-Students created a bingo card using the new vocabulary from 4.1  The front of the card had 25 Spanish words.  The back of the card had 15 pictures and 10 English translations.

-Students participated in a class discussion about Judith Baca and took notes on her accomplishments.
-Students turned in their family scrapbook pages.
-Students were told about the 4.1 Quiz tomorrow.
-Reminders were reviewed for upcoming dates.
-Students worked on a the self check quiz for 4.1 and a research question using the computers from the cart.

-Announcements were made about important upcoming dates.
-Students participated in a class discussion about Jorge Mas Canosa and  took notes on his accomplishments. 
-Students listened to the introduction of vocabulary for 3.2.  The students took turns reading the introduction to the vocabulary popcorn style.  Students translated portions of the passage.
-Students were told the topics for the 3.2 lesson quiz tomorrow.

Assembly Schedule

Classes were shortened slightly.



Blocks 1 & 2  Spanish 1-2:
-Students completed the warm up on a new paper. 
-Students traded outfit drawings from yesterday and wrote sentences to describe the other student's drawing.
-Students took the timed pretest over e -> ie stem changing verbs.
-Students completed work from the substitute assignments yesterday.
-Students had some time to work on the family scrapbook page.
-Students participated in a class discussion about the Cesar Chavez movie we saw on Wednesday.

Blocks 1 & 2  Spanish 1-2:
-Students completed the warm up on a new paper. 
-Students completed the e -> ie stem changing verb handout.
-On a blank white sheet of paper, students drew an outfit and colored it.  The outfit had to have a top, pants or skirt, shoes, socks, and at least two accessories.  The students will trade drawings tomorrow and write sentences about them. 
-Students watched the Spanish Sing Along video and answered the multiple choice questions that go along with the video.  Students also made a list of Spanish words that they recognized from the video.

-Students used the que tal magazine and read about some current Spanish performers.  They had to translate a paragraph and answer the related questions.

Spanish 1-2 Family Scrapbook Project Directions

La Familia
Scrapbook Project
Due: Monday, April, 28, 2014

Be sure to include each of the following on your scrapbook page.
1.  A picture in each box on the handout.  These can be real pictures or magazine pictures.  No hand drawn pictures.
2.  You must identify at least 6 relatives on your scrapbook page.  
3.  Include all of the following information for each person:
  • name
  • age
  • relationship to you
  • at least two adjectives to describe the person
  • where the person is from
  • one comparison about the person
4.  All of the information must be included in complete Spanish sentences.
