Blocks 1 & 2  Spanish 1-2:

-Warm Up

-Students corrected workbook pages 3 - 6.
-Students turned in their January homework calendars and received their February homework calendars.  
-Students played scrabble using the vocabulary from this lesson. 
-We discussed the topics for tomorrow's quiz: vocabulary, the verb ser and the  verb gustar.
-Students took notes on the verb gustar and completed a handout using the verb gustar.

-Students practiced their dialogs with a partner and then each pair presented their dialog to me.
-Students completed a handout to practice the pronouns in Spanish. 
-Students corrected the workbook pages they completed last night for homework. 
-Students turned in the Multiple Intelligences Inventory.
-Students started the interview activity where each student has to ask 7 different students about what activities they like to do in their free time.

-Students took notes on the verb ser in the present tense.  Students also completed a practice activity using the verb ser.

-Students listened to the introduction to the new vocabulary for Unit 1 Lesson 1.
-Students completed a listening comprehension activity.
-Students repeated the new vocabulary.
-Students completed a vocabulary handout. 
-Students created their own word searches using words from the new vocabulary list.  The words have to be hidden in the puzzle in Spanish and the English translations need to be written at the bottom of the paper.  
-Students showed me their binders and recited the alphabet if they had not already done so.
