Blocks 1 & 2  Spanish 1-2:
-Students completed the warm up.
-Students participated in a class discussion about Jaime Escalante and took notes on his accomplishments.
-Students copied the new vocabulary for Unit 3 Lesson 1. 
-Students took notes on how to conjugate regular ER and IR verbs in the preterite. 
-Students practiced conjugating regular ER and IR verbs in the preterite by playing the verb dice game with a partner.

-Study for the timed verb post test over regular AR verbs, ir and estar on Friday, April 4, 2014.
-Unit 3 Lesson 1 Quiz on Friday, April 4, 2014.  Topics: lesson vocabulary, regular ER and IR verbs in the present tense and the plural forms of gustar.




Block 4  Spanish 3-4 Honors:
-Students completed the warm up. 
-Students participated in a class discussion about Roberto Clemente and took notes on his accomplishments.
-Students took notes on the body parts vocabulary on the baby handout.
-Students drew a picture of my "best friend" as I described her in Spanish.  Students shared their pictures with the other students at their tables.

-Unit 2 Lesson 2 Quiz on Friday, April 4, 2014.  Topics: lesson vocabulary, reflexive verb conjugation and the present progressive tense.

Block 2 Students: Signed Verification Forms for next year's classes are due tomorrow.



Blocks 1 & 2  Spanish 1-2:
-Students completed the warm up.
-Students completed their first free writing activity where they had to write as much as they were able to about themselves in Spanish.
-Students participated in an Inside/Outside Circle activity to practice the vocabulary for this lesson. 
-Students in block 2 chose an activity to work on to practice the concept they are least confident with.  The choices were vocabulary scrabble, verb Tic Tac Toe or the verb dice game. 
-Students in block 1 created a concentration game using the lesson vocabulary.  Students then played the game with a partner.
