Blocks 1 & 4  Spanish 3-4:
-Students  completed the warm up.
-Students turned in their September homework calendars and received their October calendars.
-Students repeated the 2.1 vocabulary.
-Students corrected the homework from last night.
-Students in block 1 played Ataque using regular AR/ER/IR verbs and the 5 irregular verbs that we have studied in the preterite.
-Students in block 1 took notes on turning adjectives into adverbs in Spanish.
-Students in block 1 finished working in the Qué Tal magazine.
-Students in block 4  took the timed verb pretest over regular AR verbs and irregular verbs in the preterite.
-Students in block 4 added to the AR verb list in their notebooks.
-Students had time to work on their Costa Rica travel posters and their compare/contrast responses about September 16th and July 4th in their notebooks.



Homework:
-Gloria Estefan biography due by 7:30 am, Friday, October 2, 2015.  This must be submitted via Google Classroom.  Remember to explain why Ms. Estefan's work is important to you and/or how it changed the world.  You can always look at the sample paragraph on the blog.
-Block 1 workbook pages 53 and 54.
-Block 4 finish any remaining work in the ISN.







Block 2  Spanish 3-4 Honors:
-Students completed the warm up.
-Students corrected the homework from last night.
-Students recited the 2.1 vocabulary.
-Students turned in their September homework calendars and received their calendars for October. 
-Students played Ataque using regular AR/ER/IR verbs and the 5 irregular verbs that we have studied in the preterite tense.

-Students in block 1 worked on updating their notebooks.
-Students in block 4  participated in a class discussion about Luis Valdez, Sandra Cisneros and Alberto Gonzales and took notes on their accomplishments.
-Students in block 4 ranked the 7 famous individuals that we have studied so far in order by their accomplishments and participated in a table group discussion about this.
-Students in block 4 finished playing bingo and turned in their cards.

Blocks 1 & 4  Spanish 3-4:
-Students  completed the warm up.
-Students in block 1 participated in a class discussion about Alberto Gonzales and took notes on his accomplishments.
-Students in block 1 ranked the 7 famous individuals that we have studied so far in order by their accomplishments and participated in a table group discussion about this.
-Students in block 1 finished the bingo game that they started last Tuesday and turned in their cards.
-Students in block 1 wrote 5 preterite sentences in their notebooks about what they did over the break.
-Students in block 1 took notes on regular ER/IR verbs in the preterite.
-Students in block 4 had time to finish the quiz from last week.
-Students in block 4 copied the new vocabulary for 2.1.
-Students in block 4 created their bingo cards using the words from 2.1.  The back of the card had to have 6 pictures and 19 English translations.
-Students in block 4 started to play bingo using their new cards.

-Students participated in a class discussion about Alberto Gonzales and took notes on his accomplishments.
-Students ranked the 7 famous individuals that we have studied so far in order based on their accomplishments and participated in a table group discussion about this. 
-Students worked on their Costa Rica travel posters in their Interactive Student Notebooks.
-Students continued playing bingo using their cards from last week.

-Students added to their AR verb lists in their ISNs.
-Students in block 1 took notes on the first 3 irregular verbs in the preterit: ser, ir and hacer.
-Students in block 4 took the preterit regular AR verb timed pretest.

-Students completed one final review of the present tense.
-Students in block 1 repeated the 1.2 lesson vocabulary.
-Students in block 1 played concentration using the cards they made last week.
-Students in block 1 created a KWL chart in their ISNs about Costa Rica.
-Students in block 4 repeated the 1.1 lesson vocabulary.
-Students in block 4 corrected and turned in workbook pages 1-6.
-Students in block 4 took the 1.1 lesson quiz.

-Students corrected their workbook pages.
-Students repeated the 1.1 lesson vocabulary.
-Students quizzed a partner on the 1.1 vocabulary.
-Students  were told what will be on the 1.1 lesson quiz on Thursday.
-Students received another student's word search to solve.



Homework:
-Dolores Huerta biography due by 7:30 am, Friday, September 4, 2015.  This must be submitted via Google Classroom.  Remember to explain why Ms. Huerta's work is important to you and/or how it changed the world.  You can always look at the sample paragraph on the blog.
-Unit 1 Lesson 1 Quiz on Thursday.  Quiz topics: lesson vocabulary, stem changing verbs and direct object pronouns.
-Finish the word search you received in class.
