Welcome to the 2016 - 2017 School Year!

Welcome Back!

I hope you have all had a wonderful summer and that you are ready for a fantastic school year. I am looking forward to working with you this semester as you are learning Spanish. The only materials you will need specifically for this class are:

1. One single subject, spiral notebook.
2. One package of colored pencils
3. Two glue sticks.

Block 1  Spanish 3-4 Honors:
-Students completed the warm up and they turned in their papers for the last two weeks.
-Some students finished the writing final from yesterday.
-Students played bingo using the cards that they created last Friday.
-Students had some time to start the homework.



Homework:
-Famous Hispanic individuals test will be on Wednesday, May 18, 2016.
-Individual student choice famous person slide due in the Google Classroom by 7:30 am on Thursday, May 19th
-Speaking finals begin on Thursday, May 19th. Remember that the prompts are posted in the Google Classroom. 
-Workbook pages 197 - 199.







Blocks 2 & 4  Spanish 1-2:
-Students completed the warm up.
-Some students completed the writing final exam.
-Students designed a floor plan for their dream house and labeled at least 7 rooms on the floor plan in Spanish.
-Students played bingo using the cards they made last week.



Homework:

-Students read about Cinco de Mayo and added information to the A column of the S, Q, A chart that they had created previously.
-Students completed a word search about Cinco de Mayo.
-Students created an Ojo de Dios.
-Students drew a picture of the battle at Puebla in their notebooks.



Homework:
-Nydia Velazquez biography due by 7:30 am, May 13,  2016.  This must be submitted via Google Classroom.  Remember to explain why Ms. Velazquez's work is important to you and/or how it changed the world.  You can always look at the sample paragraph on the blog.

-9th  Timed Verb Pretest over regular and irregular verbs in the imperfect will be on Tuesday, May 10, 2016.
-4.2 lesson quiz will be on Wednesday, May 11, 2016. Quiz topics will be lesson vocabulary, CAR/GAR/ZAR verbs in the preterite and the 4 new irregular verbs in the preterite (querer, venir, decir and traer).
