Final Date for Make Up Work

Final Date for Make Up Work


Work can be submitted until 3:00 PM at school.

Emails and other online assignments can be submitted up until midnight on December 12, 2012.

Remember that only work from the 2nd Quarter Progress Report date up until now can be turned in for partial credit.  Work from earlier in the semester cannot be turned in at this point

Block 1  Spanish 1-2:
-Warm Up - Students turned in their warm ups for the last two weeks.
-Students had time to quiz a partner on the famous Hispanic people who will be on the test next Thursday.
-Students completed a stem changing verb practice sheet and turned it in with the warm ups.
-Students reviewed for the written final next week. 

Homework:
-No new written assignment
-Oscar de la Renta biography email is due by 7:30 am Wednesday, November 12, 2012.
-Extra Credit:  Pedro E. Guerrero biography email is due by 7:30 am Wednesday, November 12, 2012.  
-Study for the famous Hispanic people test next Thursday, December 13, 2012.
-Written Final Exam: Friday, December 14, 2012.
-Oral Final Exam: Friday, December 14, 2012 and Monday, December 17, 2012.



Blocks 2 and 4  Spanish 3-4:

-Warm Up 
-Students read and summarized the cultural information for 4.2 in the text. 
-Students completed 4 activities in the text to practice conjugating stem changing verbs. 
-Students quizzed a partner on the vocabulary for 4.2.
-Students read Telehistoria on page 226 in the text and summarized what they read.  Students also completed activity 9 on page 227.

-Workbook pages 184 and 185.

-Block 2 students took notes on verbs with irregular stems in the preterite: venir, querer, decir, traer, etc.
-Students completed activities 11 and 12 on 23 in the text to practice the verbs with irregular stems in the preterite.
-Students read and summarized the cultural information for 4.2 in the text.
-Students quizzed a partner on the vocabulary for 4.2. 
-Students wrote original sentences using irregular verbs in the preterite and vocabulary from 4.2.

-Block 2 - workbook pages 177, 178, and 179.
-Block 4 - workbook pages 184 and 185.

-Students took notes on the famous Hispanic individuals who will be covered on next week's test.

There was a substitute today.



Block 1  Spanish 1-2:
-Warm Up
-Students copied the Unit 4 Lesson 2 vocabulary.
-Students created a bingo card using the new vocabulary.  The front of the card had one Spanish word per box.  The back of the card had 15 pictures and 10 English translations.   
-Students read both of the culture passages in Unit 4 Lesson 2 and identified two important facts from each of the passages.

-Workbook pages 171, 172 and 173

-Students copied the Unit 4 Lesson 2 vocabulary.
-Students created a bingo card using the new vocabulary.  The front of the card had one Spanish word per box.  The back of the card had 14 pictures and 11 English translations. 
-Students read both of the culture passages in Unit 4 Lesson 2.  They summarized what they read in English and answered the questions for each passage in Spanish.
