Block 1  Spanish 1-2:
-Warm Up 
-Students quizzed a partner on the verb ser using the flashcards that we made earlier this week. .
-Students corrected the workbook pages that they had completed for homework.
-Students wrote a letter to their parents for Open House tonight. 
-Students reviewed the concepts for the quiz: vocabulary, ser and gustar.

Homework:
-Workbook page 9. 
-Go to www.classzone.com and take the Unit 1 Lesson 1 Self-Check Quiz.  Copy and paste your score into an email and send that to me through pvlearners. 
-Study for the Unit 1 Lesson 1 Quiz tomorrow.
-Cesar Chavez biography email is due by 7:30 am tomorrow.

-Seating was rearranged to adapt to the new tables. 
-Students quizzed a partner using the flashcards we created for the verb ser yesterday.
-Students played Tick Tick Boom to practice the verb ser and the pronouns.
-Students took notes on the verb gustar.

-Workbook pages 7 and 8
-Cesar Chavez biography email is due by 7:30 am Friday, August 31, 2012.
-Study for the Unit 1 Lesson 1 Test for this Friday, August 31, 2012.

Blocks 2 and 4  Spanish 3-4:

-Warm Up

-Students completed the direct object pronoun find someone who activity. 
-Students took notes on direct object pronouns with infinitives.
-Students started direct object pronoun handout #2, which requires them to answer each question twice: once with the direct object pronoun in front of the conjugated verb and once with the direct object pronoun attached to the end of the infinitive.

-Students made flashcards for the forms of the verb ser.
-Students participated in the activity "Mix-Freeze-Pair" to quiz 3 partners using the flashcards for ser.

-Students had their binders checked by the teacher.
-Graded papers were returned to students.
-Students received their workbooks.
-Students took notes on the pronouns in Spanish.
-Students finished solving their word searches from yesterday.

-Students in block 4 received their workbooks - students in block 2 already had theirs.
-Students started the circle map that will lead to their first essay in Spanish.
